Not everyone in need of counseling has a “mental illness.” By choosing your own therapist you can find the most qualified counselor for your particular concern which can lead to fewer sessions, quicker results, and potentially lower out of pocket costs in the long run. I choose not to accept insurance so I may have a smaller case load. This allows me to invest more time and energy in the clients I accept into my practice. As an out of network therapist I can offer longer and more frequent sessions. And because I spend less time dealing with insurances and paperwork, an hour session with me is ACTUALLY an hour (60 minutes). Still want to go through your insurance?
